Amazing amazing place. Took a risk and came to Monarch for the first time right before my Homecoming dance, and that risk payed OFF. I had Nas be my barber and he was so good I didn’t even recognize myself! He made the cut crispier than a rice cake, and the time more enjoyable than super bowl sunday. (my own expressions for saying Nas was amazing) Super talented man and I highly recommend him for y’all! Will be coming back next time I feel like looking handsome. 👊🏽

Walked into Monarch for the first time after seeing the same barber for over a decade because my guy was out. Figured I’d roll the dice and I’m glad I did. The second you walk in it’s nothing but good vibes. That old school barbershop community feeling that’s getting harder to find. Dom handled my cut and the guy is basically the Miyamoto Musashi of scissors. Fast, precise, and clearly knows exactly what he’s doing. One of the best cuts I’ve had in a long time and he’s just a solid dude to talk with while you’re in the chair. Also noticed they’ve got an old school Hosoi Hammerhead deck hanging on the wall which immediately sent my nostalgia meter through the roof. Rad shop. Legit talent. I’ll definitely be back.

I can’t say enough good things about Monarch Barbershop. I’ve been going to Tina for over 10 years and she’s hands down the best barber I’ve ever had. She’s incredibly consistent, detail-oriented, and always makes sure the cut is exactly what I want (even when I don’t fully know how to describe it). Highly recommend Monarch, and if you can book Tina, do it.
